It belongs to aluminum silicate series refractory castable with more acidic. Alkali resistant refractory castable is made of aluminum silicate series material ( like electrofused corundum, zirconium corundum, magnesia, magnesium-alumina spinel, chromium ore and zirconite) as refractory aggregate and powder, adding with aluminate cement and admixture. The characteristics of alkali resistant refractory castable is that it will form the anti-erosion protection layer on the surface at the temperature of 1250℃, and can effectively prevent the the castable from the erosion and penetration of alkaline air flow and material at the high temperature in the cement kiln. This kind of castable is divided into heavy and light weight castable, with good performance under high temperature and alkali erosion resistance. The alkali resistant castable are widely used in cement rotary kiln because of its high strength, low density.

In addition, water glass clay refractory castable also has alkali resistance, can resist the erosion of Sodium melt. Therefore, it can be used in the alkali recovery furnace of papermaking industry and get good results.
